In this context, the development of biofuels constitutes an alternative to the use of fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil.
Rosario Bioenergy produces Biodiesel from raw materials obtained from agricultural production and the recycling of used vegetable oils.
Self-sustainability is the hallmark of Rosario Bioenergy: The plant self-generates its own electrical energy with biodiesel. The plant is designed as 100% ecological and is the only one in the country approved as zero effluent.
Recycled vegetable oils, coming from both individuals and companies, are a problem for the environment when disposed of incorrectly. According to studies carried out, it was demonstrated that one liter of frying oil thrown into water contaminates the amount of water that a human being will consume for 14 years.
That is why at Rosario Bioenergy, the production of Biodiesel is obtained from soybean vegetable oil and recycled vegetable oil.

Rosario Bio Energy is a member of the Argentine Chamber of Renewable Energies and we are working together to guarantee sustainability in Biodiesel production.
For the beginning of the first stage, it is planned to begin the production of Biodiesel from export-quality soybean oil supplied by one of the large oil companies installed in the Greater Rosario belt.
We are working together with the UNR (National University of the city of Rosario), the INTA (National Institute of Agricultural Technology), the CONICET (National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina), and also other international science institutes, for the Production of second and third generation Biodiesel with derivatives of Jatropha and marine microalgae.
RBE is actively working with both the Argentine Association of Biofuels and Hydrocarbons and the Argentine Chamber of Renewable Energy to carry out agreements with international certifying companies that wish to work on the certification of the life cycle of seeds used for the production of biofuels.
The main objective of this certification is to guarantee that the origin of the seed does not come from fields that have been cleared, thus adding to the environmental protection policy implemented by Argentina with the recent sanction of the Forest Law.
The production capacity of the first stage is 50,000 ton/year of biodiesel and 5000 ton/year of crude glycerin.
Argentina's grain production shows pronounced growth, especially in the last decade. Much of this growth finds an explanation in the exponential increase in the area dedicated to soybeans, which currently represents 60% of the area cultivated with grains, placing the project location area in the productive center with the highest yield, as can be seen in the attached map.
Due to the specific regulations of the activity, both fuel management and environmental and energy, the limited cost structure that leads to minimizing transportation costs (calculated at 4% of the production cost), the proximity to supply centers of oils and/or raw materials and accessibility to the main communication routes, the location in the Rosario department in the town of Roldán was chosen.
Specifically on the property of its industrial park given that it has basic services, strategic location (proximity to the Rosario-Córdoba, Rosario-Santa Fe and Rosario-Buenos Aires highways) in addition to tax promotion granted by the government of the Province of Santa Fe.
The size of the land is 4.5 hectares and they are located on land promoted for exclusive industrial use, which will allow, in the future and if necessary, their territorial expansion without the inconveniences and conflicts derived from urban residential settlements.
