Thursday, November 12, 2015

Argentina's Energy Secretariat said Wednesday it has cut biodiesel export taxes to a record low of 3.31%, effective retroactively from October 1.

On its website, the department said the taxes were cut from 8.6% in September.

The secretariat also reduced the prices that oil refiners must pay for biodiesel to meet a 10% blending requirement for diesel.

The prices were cut to Pesos 5.155/mt ($0.54/mt) for output from large integrated producers, or 1.1% less than 5.213/mt in September.
